Hypnotherapy uses deep relaxed states, which is also called “trance”. With such a relaxed state, one is able to access the subconscious mind. It’s within the subconscious mind that many patterns of behaviours, emotions, deep rooted beliefs and memories remain. I use this trance state sometimes to help clients understand their negative patterns and change them within the trance state, using other positive aspects of themselves.

NLP or Neurolinguistic Programming relates to patterns of thinking and behaviours that are programmed at a neurological level, an example of which is the conditioned response shown by the famous Pavlov experiment. NLP uses trance/hypnotherapy and is used therapeutically to help people with depression, phobias, addictions, trauma, abuse, anxiety, relationship problems and many other issues. It can be used in life coaching for modelling skills, communications, relationship difficulties, goal setting, belief changing etc.
